Outdoor Deep Seating
Posted on November 19 2018
Patio season seems like it is gone in the wink of an eye and even more so for those of us where winter comes knocking in October. That’s why I try and utilize the patio furniture as much as possible when the weather is good, even semi-good.
We recently replaced our versatile metal chairs with removable cushions with outdoor deep seating furniture. If you are not sure what deep seating is, it is outdoor furniture that includes both seat and back cushions. This makes sitting for hours most enjoyable.
Outdoor deep seating cushions make all the difference. Our old regular ones were only comfortable for short periods of time. In fact, because the chairs were metal, the metal slats could be felt and actually made my own seat sore after sitting on them, which is no way to enjoy your frosty beverage or BBQ.
Of course, there are many varieties available. You have such a wide array of choices, color, size, sofas and chairs. We have a large family so we got several pieces - two sofas, four chairs, two ottomans, two side tables and a large table for the center, plus a table with six dining chairs.
The frames have color choices as well. We went with Gloss Silver, but only because our house is in the gray palette as well. We think it looks really nice, but the furniture is so comfortable, frankly, I would have settled for mixed and matched pieces.
Truthfully, that’s not a bad idea. For pieces sold separately, there is no reason not to go wild with color and style, if that’s your thing.
The pieces not only look nice, it’s just so luxurious to sink into those cushions and relax after a long hard day. My daughter loves to stretch out on the sofa and read for hours.
If you are tired of uncomfortable patio furniture, you might want to consider some contemporary outdoor seating for next season. The well-tailored cushions just take all the ‘camping’ feeling away. I find the furniture so comfortable, it’s like another room to the house . . . like an extension of the living room.
We love ours and use it a lot. I think a lot more than we did our old metal framed chairs, bistro table and our tired old wooden picnic table (although we still have that and use it, but not much for sitting at, now that we’ve been spoiled). If you are looking for a change or to upgrade the patio furniture you have now, consider the outdoor deep seating furniture. You will not be disappointed.
